Famous? Not quite.

Hello there Internet,
I had a very exciting week. So exciting that I have to share it with whoever may read this. If you haven't read any of my previously posted blogs I am a broadcast journalism major at NSCC. We had a strike scare, that was resolved at the last minute. So of course the local media poured into our doors and wanted to know what was going on. So naturally I wanted to get involved. I ran out and asked a CBC reporter if he knew what was going on and let him know I was around to comment if he needed it. Later in the day he tracked me down and asked a few questions, which turned into something more. He made a call back to the station and asked me if I wanted to be on the 6 o'clock news as the "News maker of the day"

Wow! This was exciting, of course I said yes. So we set up and I talked to Tom Murphy, the CBC news anchor. We chatted through a mike hooked up to a cell phone. It was fun, so that night I got to sit with my family and watch myself on TV!

Next CBC radio contacted me and a classmate. One of the hosts over at CBC came over to the school and interviewed us both. The interview aired that day.

That is the story of my interesting week! So not quite famous, but I'm getting closer! Ha ha.
